Hi
I have 2 XTS2500 UHF Model # H46QDD9PW5BN Flash Code 100001-000000-7
Host R12.00.17 DSP 12.00.05
I'm using ASTRO25 Portable CPS R13.00.00.
This is the first time I have tired to program the XTS series.
All I'm trying to do is program 1 conventional channel to TX Digital and RX mix mode.
I have tired everything possible that I can see to make the radios talk to each other.
They will TX digital but not RX digital.I have the NAC set to 293 and everything else looks right.
I'm sure there is something simple I am missing, can anyone suggest what I'm doing wrong ?

Thanks for any help
Max

Setup a personallity for mixed mode (write it's number down). In the transmit side of this personallity, you have to specify
Astro if you want this personallity to transmit in P25 mode (you do).
Then in the zone assignment, you need to point the channel to this personallity. Thisi will ungray the NAC boxes. Set the NAC codes both to 293 to get yourself started.
If youve done both radios this way, you should be talking.
In the AStro section, you have to make sure the groups are set the same. Check its settings. All the default settings should be in place C4FM , group 0000001 etc.
PM me your archive and I'll look it over.

Just a quick follow up.
I decided to contact one of those's people on Ebay that offer to program your radio if you send it.
They have 100% feedback.
He asked me to send him the C/P and he sent it back (no charge) and said he tried it and it worked.
When I looked at the C/P I could see that I had already tried the same thing he sent me.
But I wrote it to one radio and cloned the other.
Still have the same problem, when I TX on 1 radio the other receives the Digital noise sound,in others words,it's not
Receiving the Digital signal.
What could be the problem ?
I'm using a after market rib less programming cable, and it does read and write the radio's.
I am stumped !!

Also the radio should be decoding:
"Q806 ASTRO IMBE Digital Operation
H35 Conventional Systems Operation"
Based on the flashcode 100001-000000-7
But the radio is showing "Q811 P25 Digital conventional"
?????????

Radio could be in desperate need of alignment, but that's a long shot...

The radios are new out of the box.

That doesn't mean a whole lot. Where did they come from? Do you have a service monitor to verify correct deviation?
