Low Band HT1250/750

Was looking through my 'service' manual for the HT1250 for
a new part number of the PCB shield that clips into the case
(the new yellow case has different spacing).

Anyhow, I saw mentioned Low band versions of the radio.

Were these made, and if so, can they be coerced into
moving up to 6 meters?

Thanks,

Tim

HT750's were made in low band yes. If you want one hurry up and order it as it's dead at the end of the month.

HT1250's as far as I can recall were not low band.

As for cooercing one to be low band I can't say yea or nae but if I were to guess the answer is no.

HT1250s can in fact be had in the 29.7-40 split as well...

I just saw a few 750 low-bands on eBay. Will they tune down into 10 meters? If so, I might just pick one up.

Yes, the HT1250 is available in VHF low band in two overlapping splits; 29.7 to 40, or 35 to 50 Mhz. I believe I have read that they cannot go up into the six meter band.
