MCS2000 MDC1200 Emergency Decode

I have an MCS2000 Model M01KHL9PW4AN with a flashcode = 020001-000000-7 and Firmware 05.58
and programed with CPS Version R02.02.00 and can not get the radio to do MDC1200 Emergency
Decode yet it decodes MDC1200 just fine. Radios SN = 623ABSXXXX
I am guessing this needs a firmware refresh.
Hopefully someone on this forum is more familiar with this than I am and can
tell me if my assumption is correct.
PS - I have the "Emergency Receive" check box checked in the Advanced Tab under the Display
and Menu Options.

If I recall correctly, the MCS2000 will only do emergency receive decode in trunking mode. I set up a number of them about 10 years ago & remember it ended up we needed to go with C200 advanced remotes in order to do emergency receive decode with conventional MDC. Even in trunked mode, it left a lot to be desired as the radio simply emitted a couple of beeps & then flashed between 'emergency', the radio ID & the current talkgroup. It was very easy to miss the beeps. The remotes gave off a constant tone until acknowledged with a keypress.

Thanks fellas - I was also trying this with an onhand CDM1250 and was getting no where as well.
The Emergency Decode check box is greyed out on it in CPS.
I will get a hold of a CDM1550 and try again.

The CDM1550 will definitely do it. However, the CDM1550-ls will not. The CDM1550-ls+ can do it, but it needs to be the 'fully featured' version, with the model # ending in '6AN', not '5AN'.
To reset the emergency indicators in the CDM, follow the steps outlined here to enable a front button press to do it:
