Is the XTVA Convertacom compatible with the xts2500? I know it is fine with 3k and 5k.
Looking for pros and cons from those who have used them? Not so much ergonomics but rf performance. Also are they prone to breaking with alot of in/out activity?
Thanks

Re: XTVA Convertacom compatibility? Reviews?
an XTVA is not compatable with the 2500's the chassis of the radio and RF connector are completley different. The few I have installed and serviced have held up well for the heavy use they are put through

Re: XTVA Convertacom compatibility? Reviews?
I had one in my SUV for a few years. As for RF, I used it without an amp and it was surprisingly not bad...just the radio in the cradle could hit any repeater in the city. For ruggedness, mine was great...The xts was in and out of it several times a day and I never had a single issue with it.

I have had about 60 XTVA / RFPA units in service for about the last 5 years - most installed in CVPI's and
had about 3 or 4 XTVA holder units go bad with either no tx or rx audio. The TPL PA units and the HHCH
units I have never had a problem with.
