Does anyone know of a hand held or mobile radio that will do full duplex on conventional? Is there any that will normal or with a minor modification?

I am trying to recall if the Motorola APCOR could do full duplex.

Ha! Apcor was luggable, and I think it was simplex. But, there was certainly room to bolt a duplexer on the outside.

As for a duplex handheld, I can't think of any. The closest you get is a cell phone.

Going back a while -

Any of the old RCC mobile phones were full duplex, the only synthesized radio I can think of is the "D" series of the Midland Syn-Tech II mobiles, they were offered as full duplex.

The old CoveragePLUS Maxtracs with telephone-style control heads would do it in CoveragePLUS trunking, but I'm not sure about conventional repeated or simplex. Of course, that only does you any good if you're using 800 or 900.
