XTS3000 Question

I've looked via search and maybe I'm not looking for the right thing!

I have an opportunity to purchase a XTS 3000 VHF model II and have a few questions about it. With the proper flashes, etc, would the XTS3000 be able to send and receive conventional P25 digital transmissions? Is the XTS3000 also capable of narrowbanding? Around here in NH all of our FD's are on conventional analog systems with no hope of ever going digital. The PD's on the other hand are all P25 digital, conventional. Before anyone asks, I am an authorized user as one of the local towns I work with also dispatches ambulance on the PD channel and am also involved with a FD that is still on the conventional analog.

I just want to make sure that my investment to purchase the radio will be a wise one and that the radio will be able to do what I want, the after-the-fact programming/flashing/etc aren't a problem.

Thanks!

Josh

1. Yes. Look for the flashcode to start with a 1 or a 5, or just run the whole thing here: http://www.akardam.net/moto/tools/decod ... =flashcode
2. Yes, the 3000 should be narrowband capable.
