Hello all,

A bit off tropic, but I figured this would be the place to ask. Has any one had experience with tait equipment, specifically the 9100B Repeater. Reading their literature, feature wise they appear to be light years ahead of M, just the remote diagnositcs alone blow the quantar away.

What is intersting is that it has built in 4 wire interface for industry standard tone control, but also has IP connectiviety which can provision as a trunk, simulcast, or voting system. No voting compartor required, all software based voting.

Any thoughts or comments on this equipment would be appreciated. I have a customer that is chomping at the bit to get this stuff, and I told him to hold off before I research it.

Bill,

OK... Their literature is very promising, if the equipment does what it says it does. It is constructed similar to the quantar (modular). Also, a cool feature is that if one of the repeaters on the network (primary) fails the secondary units takes over within 180ms, and then the diagnostic program notifies your through text message or e-mail.

I am sorta, kinda getting a warm fuzzy feeling about the equipment.. So many advanced features that are standard that would otherwise require an act of congress, electrical engineering degree, 10K extra of equipment to do on the Moto Quantars..
