Recasing MT2000

Where can I get the parts to recase my MT2000? How much do they usually cost?
Motorola: 900Mhz GTX, Spectras, Gm300, Maxtrac, Desktrac, MT2000, MTS2000, EX600XLS, HT750.
Icom: IC756, IC706
Kenwood: F6A

you can buy the refurb kit from Motorola or any MSS, there are also a few Ebay sellers that stock them. ESCOMM on here is a good source. Last I checked, they are around $65-$70 depending on the radio (model I or III) and they come complete with everything EXCEPT the speaker felt and RF switch plunger which usually can be removed and transferred over from the old radio if you are careful. The only other thing you should consider replacing while you open the radio is the O-ring chassis seal especially if the radio is more than 10 years old or has been exposed to harsh environments (like firefighting or industrial use).
