After reading many posts, it looks like a weak spot in the XTS 3000 construction is the internal flex cable. I have the older style "A" type connector. Does anyone know if I can install the new "ruggedized" control flex in an older radio? In other words, is the flex connector compatable with the older radios. The part number for the new cable is 0105957T50.
Thanks for any expertise anyone may have on this subject.

Style A controllers need style A flexes, style B need B's.

Thanks - you confirmed my suspicions! I'll have to be extra careful with my old style flex.
