How do I get access to latest firmware?

Post by hobbes »

I ordered the Pro series CPS from MOL the other day. (Entirely painless process -- called M, they added the software link to my MOL menu while I was on the phone, and the software licensing is done through an online form. 24 hours to process, and I was able to order the software....)

Now that I will shortly have the software and a flash adapter, I have a couple of HT750's and HT1250's that I would like to upgrade to the latest firmware. Where do I go to download the firmware? Is this something else I need to request from MOL? Included in the CPS kit?

Thanks!

It should be in the Resource Center -> Software -> HT/EX/MTX Series -> Firmware and Flashing. Theres should be all the firmwares for the pro series. If you don't see it, call them, because when I bought the CPS they forgot to enable me for the firmware...

If you ordered only HVN9025, it should be included but I don't know. I DO know for sure that it is included with the HT-series Dealer Kit (H5177R), which includes HT series, Waris MTX Series, and a Radio -> RIB cable.
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

Gave Motorola a call and they added it to my menu in a few minutes. Again, I was quite pleased with how easy it was given the number of horror stories I've heard over the years about dealing with big M. :-)

Thanks!
