Problem with Motorola dos programs

Hey guys for some reason all of my motorola dos programs arent working anymore ,like one day all of them were programing and then for some reason they dont work .I keep getting power faul,or any other error everytime i try to program a radio. I try to using radius, gm300 gp300 ht100 sp50 but no go just an error . I also try running them on dos. Anyone got an idea on whats going on.

Im running windows 98 on 128mb ram Cpu 700mhz

What have you changed on your computer? My guess is that you messed up the com port somehow. Did you install any other
device or program that uses the com1 port?

you mentioned Windows 98. Are you starting the machine in SAFE MODE COMMAND PROMPT ONLY? If not, than this may be the cause of your problems. Ideally, you should be booting from a real DOS boot diskette or CD-ROM not any version of Windows.

ya, with that 2nd to last line, sounds like you're running a dos box in windows? if so don't do that
