BPR40: no voltage on collector of PA

Post by arlojanis »

I have a VHF BPR40 Mag One with intermittant no voltage on collector of power amp transistor. Has anyone repaired one like this before? Does anyone have a schematic or board drawings?

I have the schematic.
Your problem with the radio, must be the Drain coil or R417!
If the radio is completely dead, you may have a problem with the battery or the contacts.

Receiver and transmitter low level stages work OK. The final transistor is dead because there is no voltage on the collector. Can you share the schematic?
