Impress Charger Firmware

Hello, I just purchased one of these single chargers. Of course, after the fact I find out that the firware version is important. I know 3.4 is the best out there. Unfortunatley mine has a 1.2 version firmware. How bad is this? I do not have any Impress batteries yet. Sems to work fine for charging sabers and xts3000's.

I'd do the upgrade if planning to use Impres batteries. Do a search on here (Impres has only one "s", btw) as there are a few members who will do the upgrade for you for around $10. Just send them the charger and they'll return it upgraded to v3.40. They've invested in the programming device and the $10 is a bargain if you only own a charger or two. Good luck.

You will not be able to charge lithium ion batteries with firmware that old.
