Ok sorry if this has been asked and answered already, but i cant find it with a search. my question is, on the xts2500 is the mpl radio wide or just for the channel you are setting it on? I.e. can i have channel x set to mpl 1 and channel y set to mpl 2.
Thanks, and sorry if this has already been asked.

MPL is selected on a per channel basis, within the zone where the channel (personallity) is listed. You can have the same RF channel defined even within the same zone, where one channel has MPL check box selected, where the same RF channel is listed without this check box listed.
If you select MPL on a particular channel, then the places you normally put the PL tones into are grayed out.
The radio uses the MPL settings already established. You can claim a default tone, plus the list of tones you want to choose from.
Rcv pl decode is determined if the MPL you selected has rx PL tone defined or not.

Wow great info. I'm used to using kenwoods so the whole motorola mpl ting is new to me but it sounds like it works exactly the same way.
Thanks
