maxtrac or radius mic gain adjustment

Radius uhf tryed several mics on this unit all very low mic output is there a internal adjustment in radio or what should I check I cand see any totics about that here

I don't have a manual here with me, but if your trying to say the radio has low deviation in TX,
then yes there is an adjustment pot. Would have to go look up just where it is located. Haven't
worked on those radios for a few years.
The question I would have for you, is how are you going to tell when your at the right level
setting? You really need a service monitor or a deviation meter to be able to measure the
amount of deviation the TX is putting out.

The deviation controls are softpots in the service menu of the RSS.
These radios (Radius and Maxtrac) are easy to tune up if you have the right equipment.

You tried several Mics with the same results, may be a radio problem
Check the jack on the Maxtrac/Radius for dirty contacts. Check for the 'mic DC' on the Mic hi pin.
The Mic Gain IS FIXED in most Motorola mobile radios, ie, Maxtrac/Radius GM series.
Fooling with the deviation settings is the very last thing to check, and you NEED a service monitor/deviation scope/meter.
