Hey guys/gals,

Just got a VRS750 for my XTL5K with an O3 head. I set everything up in the software but I cant enable the VRS via the O3 head. Its possible to assign a button on the O3 for VRS enable, but when I press it I get an error tone. I also added it to the menu display but to no avail. It fails to show.

I hooked up a O5 head to check if it was the head causing problems and the VRS menu item showed up fine and enabled the repeater.

Now I can't understand why there would be a menu option for VRS enable in the "HHCH" section of the CPS if it wasn't possible. But then again stranger things have happened...

So my question is, can it be done?

The VRS Advanced Page allows you to view or define settings related to more complex and diversified VRS-EP (Vehicle Repeater System - Expanded Protocol) functionality/operation.



The VRS-EP must be set-up in a remote radio configuration.

VRS-EP options should only be modified if the mobile radio has the proper firmware.

The O3 Control Head is not capable of VRS operation."
