CDM1250 Programming Question

Hello Everyone. I am thinking about doing some reprogramming of our 5 firehouse's base radios. We use CDM1250's. They are not the firehouse's primary alerting system. I have another CDM do that. Is it possible to do the following?
1 - radio will be programmed with multiple channels
2 - radio will scan selected channels (three channels, by programming, not user selected) and alert on two of the channels (with priority level programmed, one over the other)
3 - radio gives priority to channel one regardless of other traffic
4 - radio will scan and do priority only if Scan button is activated

I hope this makes sense. I know I'm asking the CDM to do a lot, but I'm trying to not install two additional alert receivers. I'm just thinking. Thank you in advance. Henry

You can program in fixed priority to the scan list. Yes you can have the radio scan with the fixed priority that the operator can't change.

However, if your asking if the radio will decode an alert on 2 of the channels, you need to elaborate on what your
calling "alert". If you mean will the radio decode a dual tone paging tone on anything but the priority channel, I
wouldn't bet the station on that. It probably would catch the paging tone on the priority channel if you had the
lookback set short enough. But to do it on a second channel, that would depend on if there was radio traffic on
any of the other channels in the scan list.
