XTL2500 heads - What are these?

I just picked up a few of these at an auction and have not been able to find out exactly what I have. Not really familiar with new stuff these days. They are XTL2500 heads with the numbers S/T HLN1452D KIT NO HLN6903E. They look new, never used, and in pristine condition.
They were in boxes that had S/T 1466C KIT NO HLN6911C but the boxes had the numbers crossed off. I believe these are the local heads resident on the radio for dash mount configuration and were removed when remote kits installed. Can anyone verify this for me or provide other info.
Thanks
Steve

There is no specific "Dash Mount" versus "Remote Mount" control head hardware, the same head is used in both configurations, just with different mating hardware (either a dash or remote mount kit).

HOWever, if you read this thread: http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=78409, you will see that there was a design change in how the M5/O5 control heads interacted with the remote mount kit, circa 2006, and as such, you have to make sure you use the right (old or new) remote mount hardware for whatever control head you have.

The XTL2500 BSM currently shows an XTL2500 head as being part number HLN1466, so given your part number of HLN1452, I would guess that you have an old control head versus a new control head. If you want to use them in dash mount configuration, you should be fine. If you want to remote mount them, see the aforementioned thread for further info.

I got the same heads as topic starter :)

Old revision (they are made in the middle of 2006) may affects on someting? E.g. firmware limitation to some generation or something else?
