Have a VHF radio from fleabay. Emits beep after self test but then nothing but quiet hiss from speaker. Confirmed transmit and transmit audio work fine. Do not have ext speaker mic to test further. What I am looking for is manual 68P81200C15 which is now listed as NLA. I have tried swapping front cases with my UHF HT1000 and MTX9000 and audio is the same. Cloned from good VHF radio, audio same. Swapped rf board, audio same. swapped controller board, audio same. Swapped controller board and case, fully aligned, audio same. This makes no sense. Need the manual to trace issue to component level. have manual 68P81200C40 but as I stated manual 68P81200C15 is NLA. Help?

The most recent Jedi manual that I have is 6881200C75-B. This covers HT1000, JT1000, MT2000, MTS2000 and MTX series. Has detailed schematics and pictorials of many controllers and most RF boards as well as supporting electronics. Check if this manual is still available; I'm sure it will provide what you need. Not sure if there's a newer one than this as I retired about the time this one came out.

If you've swapped the front (I assume with electronics intact), the controller, and the RF board then.. what does that leave? The back plate?

The only thing left that I can think of is the interconnect between the RF and controller boards. If you have the older style made of brown ribbon cable (I believe they came in AN and BN revision radios) then replace it with the newer style that's made of bare wire and black plastic insulator spacers.
