Help in Programming System Saber III Scan

I have a System Saber III and Im using R4.00 LAB RSS
Issue 1:
I am new to the Saber and can't figure out how to program the scan feature in Zone configured code plug.
I want to have one scan bank thats user selectable from the face plate.
Im not wanting to scan a group of frqz in a single zone. I want to pick one or two frqz out of multiple zones to scan, and them change them on the fly as needed.
Issue 2:
Also, cant seem to get the touch tone pad to function as DTMF. I want to manually input DTMF for repeater access in place of retrieving codes from a stored phone list.
