Astro Spectra Consolette Error 5/10

Is it normal for an Astro Spectra L04...W9 (digital remote) to throw an error 5/10 at power up? That is the code for not seeing the control head (well...duh it doesn't have one, at least not a conventional W9).

I am thinking maybe a jumper inside in the radio or something. The jumper is set properly on the consolette board for digital remote.

Any chance the cables connecting to the radio or control board are loose? If nothing else, I would remove them
and re-seat them just to make sure you don't have a poor or corroded connection.

No connection issues at all.

You'll get that error if the radio is expecting to see a second control head. If it's a true 'L04' model, it shouldn't be expecting to see one, for sure.

Does it give 'L04' as the model when you read it with CPS? If you go into 'Radio Wide'-->'Advanced II' tab, the 'Dual Control Head' option should be grayed out. If it isn't grayed out, it should at the very least be unchecked.

It is a L04 and the dual control head box is unchecked and greyed out.

The W9 is for programming purposes only, there is no local control head connected, so yes, 05/10 at turn on is normal.
