XTL5000 Error 15/10

Has anyone ever seen an Error 15/10 on a O5 head VHF XTL5000 high power remote unit before? I can't seem to find that error code in my service manual. The radio throws up that error every time, this radio also has a UHF VRS750 tied to it if that matters.

Assuming it's 15/10 and not 12/10 (indicating VRS failure)...
Out of curiosity, do you have "secure" enabled without a hardware module in it? or Siren enabled without the siren?

Secure setting is enabled and set for infinite key retention. I'm using DES-XL/OFB, AES-256 algo board. The Siren/PA is disabled at this time. I did have a siren attached and programmed to this radio as of 4 days ago and the radio still showed the same error upon power up.

If you disable the secure module, does the fail code change?
Same with the VRS, temp disable it and see if the complaining changes at all...
I'm trying to rule out accessory issues first.

I can give that a shot tomorrow and see what happens. I'll post back tomorrow with results.

I just tested the radio and the error code 15/10 still shows upon power up. The secure module and VRS750 were disabled and removed from the radio.

Issue resolved, it turned out to be that I had external accessory enabled by mistake. Once I cleared the check box all was fine.

It's under radio wide on the advanced tab it says external accessory. I'm not sure what the option is for, but once I unchecked it the radio stopped giving error codes.

Well, I was on the right track I suppose, just couldn't nail it down for you.
Nice find. I'll remember that one.

Awesome. Thanks for posting the answer as I have seen this before and didn't know what it was.
