Spectra Stuck in Self Check Mode

So now another one of my radios, after replacing the PA (Power Amp) side of my radio on a UHF radio goes to Self Check on power up and stays there. Unable to read/write or go into Service Mode.
Any ideas?

See:
http://www.batlabs.com/spectra.html and scroll down to the bit about corrupt code plugs.
The sticky self check and, more commonly, the cycling self check is caused by either bad caps or poor 12V power. Is your supply OK? Can you put a scope on the supply or swap to a larger supply? I’m assuming the obvious like you have the emergency jumper in.

All obvious solutions were tried...caps are brand new, 12V power is good, etc.

So if I understand correctly, you changed the PA assembly on the radio? Is it a low or mid power one? I only ask this since the main power supply comes through the PA assembly to the ribbon cable, could you have misaligned the connector on assembly? Did you use the ribbon from your original radio or the one with the new PA.Other than that, I remember reading that if you install a SyntorX X9000 head on the radio (rear mount only)you can stop the radio from cycling. I know there was a post about this here quite some time ago.

Both PA boards were mid-power radios and I kept the ribbon cables to their parent boards.
I'll have to pull out my Syntor X9000 Head and see if that does the trick.
