HT1250 Receiving issues

Hello. I own an HT1250 UHF 403-470 portable programmed for Public Safety.

The radio seems to be having issues receiving on the Med Channels (463.xxxx/468.xxxx etc), but doesnt have an issue receiving on other channels, which makes me think its NOT a speaker issue.

basically, to sum it up and describe it as best I can, the transmission just sounds like there's interference along with the transmission itself. You can hear what the other person is saying, but they can be difficult to understand.

If anyone has any quesitons etc. please feel free to ask, but I'm looking for some thoughts from those of you well versed with Motorola products as to what the issue MIGHT be..

Thanks!

Scott

This site is found under www.batlabs.com, Model Specific Information, Portables:

Take a look and see if any of the items help with your problem.

Thank you! I will see if some of that works..

My only concern is it does not "sound" or mask itself as a Range issue.. The signal is there, and it is strong, it is just garbled or disoriented at times, and only on that specific bank of channels.

Thank you for the link though, much appreciated.

And this will show how much of a geek i am..

The best way I describe what it sounds like is think about the Original Star Wars movie,a nd how the communications sounded during the assault on the death star.
