MT1000 low TX audio

I have some UHF MT1000's I use for 440MHz band amateur repeater use. When I transmit, I get reports that my audio sounds low, like I'm talking too far away from the microphone, or that the deviation is off. Could this be a deviation issue, and is there a way to adjust this in the software? Any other ideas?

I also have an MTVA set up with a power supply that I use as a base unit. I get the same "low audio" reports whether using the radio in the MTVA, or if I talk directly into the radio's built-in mic.

TIA!

Sounds like you have eliminated the internal mike by using the MVA, next step is to adjust the deviation. It is under the F2, service and alignment tab
