Dead radius m100

Post by Carl »

here's the deal, i receive a call from a client who bought as new tractor and transfered the radio themself BUT they says it "died" in the transfert. I went there to see whats the problem and find they inverted the power plug. 15amp fuse was blown. I bring the radio back at home to check if its dead, and it's not powering on at home :( Any advise to see where it can have a protection or whatever part i can change ? like the whole PA or logic board ? i have some logic board in spare just in case.. Thank you

Hello:
Id check the the axial jumper JU801 on the logic bd.
The axial jumper in the M100 should white and just to the left of the 5 pin option plug and where the front speaker plugs into the logic bd.
The lettering on the logic bd next to the white axial jumper will say =
Cut for ignition control.
Also check the protection diode inside the PA .
If its blown you can remove the bad diode and still power up the radio.
But id replace it if its blown just in case the radio gets reverse polarity again in the future.
If the white axial jumper on the logic bd is blown then you can replace it with any fast blow fuse with a 1 or 2 amp rating.
white axial jumper part number = 06-11009B23
Transient suppresor diode in PA is part number = 48-80236E07
(Its a MR2525L Diode) Large round black in color.
Good luck.
