I picked up a (25 Watt) CDM1550LS+ that has a 5AN part number (AAM25SHF9DP5AN) on the case however in CPS it shows as a 6AN 160 ch unit.
Looking for a little guidance or this radios particulars.
1.) if the it is unit is 160 channels can it be used for trunking?
2.) this is much more then I need any idea what it might be worth being whored out?
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

you got more than your bargained for.
If the CPS shows 6AN, go with it.

Serial numbers match? Could be a mainboard replacement. Could have been hit with labtool. More info is needed. Even then it's hard to tell. Do the tanapa stickers on the board match the tags?

I'll check the serial numbers when I get home tonight. From what I could tell all of the stickers on the back are intact and don't appear to have been modified. I'd rather not crack open the radio just to verify serial numbers, but if I have to I will.
Any ideas on what this thing might be worth? I'm going to try and sell this since its a whole lot more then I need.
Thx
Jeff

you don't have to open it up to check serial numbers, just read the radio and it will tell you the serial number programmed into the radio and it's actual firmware. but even if the numbers don't match that don't mean a whole lot, if the radio is a 6an now, that comes with all features right out of the box and it can do 160 conventional channels and mdc on conventional. if the serial numbers don't match you might want to check and make shure the radio is tuned and aligned and you'll be set
