NTN1322A troubles

Hi. I have a 'new' ntn1322a with the mtva and an HT1000. When the power is connected to the controller and the radio mount the ntn1322a permits the speaker amp to work, the charger to work, but, the scanning on the ht1000 stops. I have tried many things - moving the controller, a new cable between the controller and the mount for the radio, etc. ANY suggestions. (I am thinking of searching for another 1322a to replace the one I have._ Much appreciated. KA0YNW

I have lots of UHF Jedi's, so when I saw a complete MTVA set up, I bought it. All worked well except after a while, the rx audio got weak & the radio while in the Cradle couldn't bring up some repeaters, but could bring them up as soon as removed from the cradle. I found another brand new controller unit on the Bay for $15, & all the problems vanished. Last week I purchased 3 more controllers for $1, & they should be arriving on Friday. If they all work, I could let you have 1 in exchange for that extra cable. PM me & we'll work something out. GARY N4KVE

I must assume you have the cps to program the portable.

If so under the conventional configuration tab make sure that "hub defeats pl" is unchecked.

If you do not have a microphone plugged into the cradle unit or if you do and it is not onhook
this can affect scan operations with that parameter being checked.

A quick check for that would be to connect a wire from ground to the metal button on the back of the mike. Now see if it scans. GARY N4KVE
