How to adjust deviation of P2000

Dear friends
I have P2000 set which has 4.5Khz deviation in 12khz bandwidth ... book says it should 2.5khz...I have tuner software can I adjust ...please help

Before you go tweeking the radio, it might be better to make sure the radio is set up for narrow band operation on the channel your concerned with.
