All,
I am very new to this board and to the world of radios. I am trying to figure out if there are any real differences between the following two radio part numbers. Specifically, will they work with each other? I am just trying to cobble together something to use a few times a year in my low budget car racing hobby. Typically UHF 4 Watt stuff is run in our cars. Thanks for any advice.

I am actually worried that the second number is bogus and the person trying to sell me these radios simply read it wrong.

Nope, your second # is valid it's a 12.5 KHz channel spacing unit the 1st listed is a 25 KHz spacing model. Not 100% compatible due to bandwith but would do in a pinch.

Thanks! So this is the difference between wide band and narrow band radios it seems.
Someone else told me they might have a different frequency range. Any idea if that is true?

I think my plan will be to stay consistent with one model.

They're both 450-470 and the one's I had would readily do 445-480 with the key shift workaround and can go beyond via hex editing.

The only variation in the model number is the digits 20 & 00 which signify channel spacing.
Throughout the Radius series you'll find similar model number configurations. 00 signifies 12.5khz. That is only difference in your model number

I'm new to this site and actually have the same question. Sorry for being ignorant but I still get the answer I have hoping to realize. Will this two models "00" and "20" or band widths be able to communicate. I have two "00" and am looking at purchasing two "20" units. Will they communicate with each other?
