Like the subject line says, I need the part number for the module I need to add to an XTS2500 for DES. I saw one listing of that info on the batboard (PMLN4931), but that number is not valid. Anyone have the right number?
Thanks.
David

PMLN4931 is a valid and orderable part number but appears to be for the M2 radios. I also find PMLN4928 which has the same description. So one of them is for the M2 and one is the M3 but attention to detail is not the product planner's strong suit.

I had to install some of those for a local PD. They have Model 2's and I'm pretty sure that the part number was PMLN4928. I'll see if I can find some paper work on that next week.

Huh. Well, when I log into Motorola Online with the university account,it says that part number is not in our catalog. We are a state university with a police force that counts as a "real" police department, and we are using DES-XL, so it is not clear to me why that part number will not show up if it is a real number. If you all are certain that this is the correct number, I guess I will call M on Monday and find out what is up.
Thanks.

Greetings. Don't let the fact that the part doesn't show up as orderable (or at all) on MOLthrow you. Anything M considers even a somewhat-controllable item, including something as benign as an escutcheon in some cases, won't populate to your account. Others are "above price book" items and can only be acquired with the assistance of your federal/state/local government M rep. Yes, it's a pain, but in most cases, is understandable for security and copyright reasons. I just went through this for a blank (yes, blank) bottom label for an XTS2500. Arghhh! Good luck on your Securenet modules.
