TX "Warning" Light Centracom Elite Console

Centracom Experts....
I have been tasked with adding and interfacing a "light tower" at a local PD that light up different colors to show when the dispatchers are on the phone or TX'ing on the radio. The phone interface is easy...thanks to Positron's analog converter box which feeds the phone interface on the CIE. I have been told the same holds true for the Centracom Gold CIE's PTT state. I have looked at the installation manual for the CIE...and it says something about a PTT input and output on one of the "P" connectors in the rear. I'm not sure if they are for an external source to key the CIE...or if they are meant to complete a circuit when the PTT is activated. So I guess what I am looking for (or to program) is a N/O or a N/C aux I/O pair that changes its state when the PTT is activated. The change needs to be independent of the other parallel CIE's so the lights are dispatch position/dispatcher specific....Thoughts?
Thanks
