Well the pc to rib cable is a standard db9 on both ends. It uses the same programming cables as the normal rib.

Are you doing programming, flashing, etc?

If you're trying to flash an Astro Spectra, you'll need a RKN4047_ flash cable. The regular programming cables won't work.

So you trying to push a record with a better flashcode in by the sounds of it. Using a smart rib isn't going to help with that. Read up on S-records.

You going to need a dos machine and special rss.

dooorslammer,

Once you drop a new ''S'' Record in the radio you need to have it tuned! Or write down all your tuning settings.

could you explain more on how anothe codeplug is better? using a different codeplug won't update the firmware or add options to your radio. but if the model numbers and flash codes are the same you just click on clone
