is it possible for an APX to scan conventional and trunking and have a priority channel assigned in the same scan list that is either conventional or trunked? If so does anyone have any suggestions on how to set this up?

No... priority would require either a Conventional scan list or Priority Monitor. Priority on trunking also requires system configuration.
