Can anything be done to fix this problem?

It's intermittent. I never know when it will happen. It's been sitting for a few years and figured I'd try to put it to use. Can anyone help?

Thanks,
Scott

This is a DSP Rom checksum failure. The factory approved method is to reprogram the flash memory (per Batlabs). You might also look at that particular chip and physically consider reflowing the IC, particularly if it is a BGA.

I'll take a look at it on a later date. Still recovering from shoulder surgery and can't physically pull the radio out of the case...lol

Been there, done that. Put your wallet in your front pocket, too!

I haven't even gotten around to leaving the house yet, let alone wearing real pants... Still mopin' around the house in sweats.

Got the wife to help pull the radio apart and the vocon board looks like it's bent where the top two screws go? Straightened out the shielding and reassembled. Now get Fail 02/90 upon power-up.

I guess I need another vocon board.
