I have just re-installed this radio in a vehicle after some contracted repairs over the winter. Now I can't remember or figure out how to enable the personalities for operator-select scan. In radio-wide configuraton, I have choices of Scan List "none" or "1." Will I need a firware flash to enable this, or am I missing something in the CPS (newest version)?.

That only refers to what scan list that personality uses. Go to the scan branch of the tree. That is where you set up the scan lists and make the operator-selectable, slaved, etc.
