On the MT2000, your firmware needs to be at least R02.00 or higher for QCII to function, reguardless of what you see in the RSS. Just an FYI as a starting point.

If your radio has old firmware, programming it with the latest CPS will not add any new features unless you have the latest firmware to match..

If memory serves correct, the DOS RSS should show it in the radio info screen. You have to actually read the radio, not open a saved codeplug. If not, power up the radio, and withing 10 seconds, press the side button just above the PTT 5 times in a row quickly. The display will read "Service", and then it will spit out your radios info. The firmware version will be the first one it shows after "Service".

Ok I hit the button 5 times and it says 2.03.....SO QCII should work......I must have a setting wrong....Should the 2 personalities that are set up for QC be in the scan list?

Thanks

QCII will work with R02.03, so your good there.. You can have 2 personalities with QCII assigned to them in the scan list.. It's a good idea to give those 2 channels priority while scanning them.

Ok Now we are getting somewhere......I decided to try my other radio and set it up w/ QC and it works great.....So the other radio must have a weak or bad reciever.I have them both exactly the same and only 1 picks up .The bad one will rx if it's close enough to the tx'er
Interesting
Marc question for you.....what or how do I set the 2 personalities to have priority? Also i would like the 2 QC channels to scan when the radio is not in scan Is that possible?
