XTS2500i Mod 3 CPS question

Post by MayanWarrior »

Okay, I think if I heard right before, the XTS 2500i FPP model 3 will not loose the FPP if it has q52/q53 both? I went to read it in CPS R14 and it told me to upgrade to newer CPS. said something of nextgen on tab and OTAP in description? So I should use CPS 15? The radio itself was last programmed with a HOST CPS R14 DSP 14. Im not sure if it was CPS r14.00.01 etc or higher then 00.00.00 but know it was Host 14. So with CPS R15.00.00 i shouldnt loose FPP as long as it has both q52/q53?

Yes.Since you have both Q52,Q53,you will not loose FPP.When you say"The radio itself was last programmed with a HOST CPS R14 DSP 14",those are the radio's firmware and DPS,not what the radio was programmed with.

Your radio was last programmed with CPS Ver R15.00.00 because"nextgen on tab and OTAP in description"is a codeplug too new for application error" which happens when the CPS software you are using with the radio is out of date.

Got it. Thanks. I have CPS15 but was gonna settle for 14 if it used it. But problem solved. Your reply is very greatly appreciated. Thanks :)
