XTS500 MDC Decode issue

Hey Guys,
Well my new XTS5000 is great except I can't figure this out. MDC decodes the id's of other radios perfectly fine with scan on but for some reason, it just doesn't want to do it with scan turned off... Any thoughts? I have ID display turned on and Scan ID display turned on as well.
Thanks in advanced,
Mark

And before anyone could answer I figured it out. Need to have selective call decode enabled in "signaling" under each personality

Ha! and you're tellin' me. I tried just about everything under the sun before trying that but apparently that was the culprit. I still find it interesting that it was decoding DURING scan but not with scan turned off... Usually it's the other way around. Anyhow, if someone ends up having the same issue as me, they will find the answer a lot quicker.

I have the same problem, if anyone still runs in this thread, heres the details im having and all with not being able to decode ids on display (in conventional mode):
heres the info for the XTS 5000 radio I
have:
SMARTZONE
MODEL: H18KEF9PW6AN
FLASH: 500008-000482-8
H38 SMARTZONE SYSTEMS OPERATION
Q806 ASTRO DIGITAL OPERATION
Q173 SMARTZONE OMNILINK MULTIZONE OPERATION
Q361 ASTRO 25 9600 BAUD TRUNKING
H14 ENHANCED DIGITAL ID DISPLAY
Q446 CHANNEL ANNOUNCEMENT
CODEPLUG 001C DSP R06.00.00
FIRMWARE R06.01.00
CODEPLUG VERSION 000E
I know it is capable of ID display. Problem is I believe there is a setting
somewhere out of whack? Because It will not display unit IDs. However It would
display one frequencies dispatch ID but no unit IDs (for conventional mode). My other radio has same
setup and does it however I cannot get it to clone or copy the codeplug file. I
may have missed something, But any ideas how I can get it to decode/display unit
ids on screen? It has me dumb founded. I have checked the DOS settings to
1200/1800 and tried 1800 only. Also the decode boxes are checked and also for
ASTRO. Any ideas?
Thanks

Prob not your issue, but something to keep in mind... a few, def not most systems do not pass the complete MDC ID on the repeater output. Depending on how the repeater is setup (or properly maintained) you will hear it, but the data is so messed up on the output that the radio cannot decode it.
I know of two systems in my area that are like this. Since the field radios are not setup to decode anything anyways, no harm done (and the audio sounds just fine).

I had that issue as well but not as severe. I was decoding MDC Pre signals but not radios that had post on it. I had to set end of voice timer to 3 instead of zero so that the ID would display. It's not an issue with the radio decoding the signal, it's just the time you need to set so it is visible on the screen.
