Sometimes I get this error when using CPS 15 portable using windows xp,
(as it appears in a window below)
[NextGen10] [X]
Open Radio Failed
Error Context: 24, Status: c000039e
I usually have to reboot everything when it occurs. Have pondered several ideas but maybe some one knows more about what it is.
Thanks

I also get this error, any insight would be great!
Same exact scenario w/ OS and CPS version

Both using USB cables? The CPS isn't talking the radio.

I am using a USB to serial connector. I get multiple error messages from radio failed to acknowledge, radio failed to open etc. I have to either unplug the radio, turn it off and back on(radio and computer) several times before it finally does anything.

CPS may not be remembering the com port setting for the usb to serial adapter.

Do yourself a favor & get an OEM USB programming cable. Operation with USB-to-serial converters is notoriously unreliable.

I hope your using a usb to serial adapter. As someone else already stated those are quirky for the most part. The only ones that I have ever seen that work 100% (that is my experience) are edgeport models.

If you you don't have a true serial port, get an oem usb cable.
