MT2000 UHF Receive Noise Problem (PL?)

Hello gents,
Looking for some opinions...
I have a UHF MT2000, A7, R Split, I recently just picked up at a fleamarket
Radio seems to work okay in every function, except on our local 440 repeater, which I maintain....
Receiving stations through the repeater, I get a awful noise, like over deviated PL....but the repeater, a Micor, does not transmit a PL, it does however have a rx PL, so users must transmit a PL to key a repeater, but it does not output one...at first I thought it was the repeater, but i'm not hearing it on my Kenwood radio, and other users, all who use Motorolas or Kenwoods arn't experiencing what I am, so im fairly certain its my radio and not the repeater....

I just cant figure out what it would be, its an electrical loud sounding hum noise, like over deviated PL, but the repeater doesnt transmit one.... When I hook it up to a service monitor I can replicate it, I think, or make it sound very similiar by feeding the generator a high deviation PL....

Suggestions?
Ideas?
Thanks

It´s an often seen problem on Jedi radios.
Defect mixer or PLL!
Change the RF board,if you have a radio with seperate controller.
