Trying to wire up a xtl5000 consolette to our existing centracom gold elite

Have a Un-used bim card, Acim card and aux i/o card

from reading ht emanual provided to me I found out that i need a straight thru cable from accy 1 on the xtl5000 to the diu connector on the acim board,

Then from the acim board to the aux i/o board with the ribbon cable.

My question where does the aux i/o card go above the acim or above the bim


then i assume from accy connector 2 i go to the ceb punch block to pick up audio ???

AUX II goes above the BIM that will be handling the audio. You are correct on the ACCY 2 to Punchblock. Run your Line1/Line2 from the Consolette to the appropriate pairs on the punchblock for TX Audio and RX audio.

It's pretty much the same situation as a Quantar, only instead of plugging your DIU into the ACIM, you're plugging in the Consolette. Then your 4-wire analog audio goes from the consolette over to the punch block, and you're set.

I like to build up an RJ45 to DB-25F adapter hood that's pinned out properly for the ACCY 2with TX audio to the consolette on pins 4&5 and RX audio from the consolette on pins 3&6, so everything is a nice RJ-45 interface to the back of the consolette's ACCY 2 connector.

Sorry to resurrect a 10 year old post, but I am trying this same config.

I have audio on my TX+ and TX-, but I'm not keying the radio when I try to transmit. Do I need to run PTT wires? or with 4 wire config, should the radio know I'm transmitting?

It appears from this post, you're only running 4 wires, TX/RX +/-.

Any help on that?
