APX connector thumbscrew?

Post by kf4lhp »

Called parts ID looking for the part number for the thumbscrew on the APX connector cable... these things seem to strip out very easily, and they claim there's no part number, other than the whole cable itself. They did, however, ask me first if the speaker-mic (PMMN4062A) was for a TRBO or an APX, which makes me think if I'd answered a different way I might have been able to get a part number.

Anyone know the number, if it exists?

Thanks!

FWIW, some of the aftermarket speaker/mics have an actual thumb screw which is
much, much easier to use than the stupid "how does this thing work" headless screw
on the Motorola programming cable.

You can cobble your own together. I saw a "special production" one at Dayton that looked like hot fire
