Connection problems with a USB adapter serial <=> USB

I use a computer with windows7 (64bit) with no serial connection.
In order to program my Motorola GP3xx I use a ribless a serial cable.
For it to be usable with my PC configuration with only USB connections,
I use the a USB adapter. Serial <=> USB.
Necessary drivers (drv) are available and is functioning.

This cable is able to read my radio GP3XX using ComTool.exe.
and I can get all the information from the radio about prog. version, radio version, etc.

But I can not make any contact with the radio from the CPS:

GP300/GM300 Professional Series CPS ver. R03.11.15

This is strange because contact can be established with the help of ComTool.exe

Someone who can help with to solve this problem?

I don't have access to that particular CPS but under XTS it's on under View/Main/Port Selection.

Can you tell us what this is, and how it helped? Google doesn't reveal much about it...

Latest CPS for Waris (EMEA) is ENVN4005Z CPS R03.11.16_EN (ENLN4115U 07.Jan.2012) makes it possible to use it with Win7 64bit without any problems with a USB adapter serial <=> USB. This program includes the drv (commsbepx64 ) that makes it possible.
