MCS2000 - MPL - user selectable PL - which firmware?

I have an MCS2000 with 3.13 firmware.

The user selectable PL/CTCSS (MPL) does not seem to work. Pressing the programmed MPL key does not do anything - no bleep , no list of PL/CTCSS's to select.

I have another MCS2000 with 5.30 firmware and the MPL feature works OK.

Does anybody know whether 3.13 firmware should include the MPL option - maybe its just a programming issue?

I could be wrong, but I think the radio needs to have the MPL list set up in the programming. It also needs to have a control head button set to MPL in the software. Even though the head button has MPL on it, you need to make sure the button is set to that function in the programming.

Normally to use the MPL, you press and hold the MPL button until the display reads the current MPL setting. You should hear a beep from the speaker. Then you should be able to change it up or down with the mode selector. When you get to the tone you want, you momentarily press the home button. If you press it too long, the radio will jump to the home channel.

Other than going into the radio programming and checking how it is set, your on your own.

As far as I know, I have set up everything in RSS for MPL operation. I previously done it with my other MCS2000 and it worked perfect. Thats why I think its probably a firmware issue. I've had similar "functions not working" issues with very very early MCS2000 firmware (0.15, I think). 3.13 is clearly later but maybe not new enough for MPL operation.

Anybody have a list of the "firmware history" for the MCS2000 which gives all the additions with different firmware versions?
