Motorola stx

Question regarding motorola stx and cape cod fire radio system on the MSP trunking system. Can the cape fire talkgroups be recieved in smarthzones other than zones: 3, 4, and 6 on the cape? For example can the county dispatch talkgroup be added to the list in zone 8 central MA or zone 5 northeastern MA?
Also I see most zones have anywhere from 5 to 12 frequencies listed with 1 or 2 primary control channels and 1 alternate control channel. Do all frequencies have to be programmed in the radio or just the control channnels?
