Batboard

This maybe a dumb or old question but, I have a CDM1550 in my truck and have tried several different mics on it as I like the full size palm mic. They tell me that with a hmn1035a I sound like Donald Duck, all high pitched, the 1035c sound better but the new style MC2000 mice sound best. Is there a way to make me sound a little better in the software or am I stuck playing "musical mics"

There are gain adjustments. The defaults tend to be rather hot.
