XTS3000 Non Matching tags

Post by S_Holmes »

Okay recently I bout a XTS3000 Off ebay sell stated that the tags wont match because the flashcoded was updated No biggie.. How ever after a few days of having the radio I noticed the serial number and the model number do not match..CPS says one thing and the tags say another... CPS says the Model number is H09RDHPW7AN..Tag on radio says its a BN revision..I opened the radio up and in fact it is a BN revision..it has the BN plug on the flex coming off the housing... Now whats the whole purpose of changing it? The guy states in his add the radios are legit..The radio works fine but the tag thing just leaves me curios ..The flashcode was some what upgraded/downgraded the original number on the tag had smartnet trucking and it was Astro Ready (analog operation only) the current flash in the radio is conventional operation with multikey encrypt enhanced radio ID, repeater access and apco p24 IMBE operations.

Someone pushed the s-record from another radio into that one, probably to gain IMBE. I would make sure it is aligned properly, but the an or bn on a 3k model # doesn't affect it the same way it does on say a xts2500.

Thats what he was talking about. The commonly used file floating around for S record pushes is an AN version. Thats what mine has. Is your electronic serial number 326AAA0349 by any chance? That is what mine is and Im sure a lot of others. I had a fellow that said he could change model and serial to match the tags for $50. There must be a way around the codeplug shecksum for him to do that, I thought that price was a little high but I never did any investegation on how to do it myself.

The electronic serial number on mine is 620axn0064 with Host 7.22.01 and DSPN 08.03.02.. I think using lab software you are able to change the model number and serial number On my friends xts3000 his radio is a BN revision but in the service menu and cps it says AN, but his serial number matches though.
