Urgent Help Needed On A Radio Order

Post by BMedcom »

I ordered a XTS-5000 on April 25th 2011, and was told the price for UHF-H split, model 2, and nothing fancy in the flash code, just enough to use conventional channels, with the 4150 mah battery would be $3,333.22. As of yesterday, Friday June the 17th. 2011 my radio was just now being "In Process." Apparently MOTO was out of parts for the XTS series. The dealer is closed today obviously, and I am seriously thinking about canceling my order. Since I have not given any money up front, is there any way to cancel to where the dealer would not lose any money, or tick them off?

Why do you want to cancel? If it's because you really really don't want that radio any more, talk to your dealer and you might work something else out. Otherwise, if you just want to get it faster, I wouldn't bother cancelling at this point...
The bandsplit is only a suggestion.

I'm not sure about all dealers, but we have a 45 day window where we can return product to Motorola with no restocking fee, as long as it's still in the original new-box condition & packaging.
No trees were harmed in the posting of this message...however an extraordinarily large number of electrons were horribly inconvenienced.
