I guess the logical question is why didn't you write the password down? But if it's not your radio and password protected have the owner program the radio or give you the password. Or the next thing, you bought it off of ebay and you got it that way? Write who you bought it from and ask them what the password is? Then go from there.

Garbage. So much for the "new" batlabs. Why don't you just not post at all instead of talking down to the guy like you are some superior person. It's people like you that have driven away the real contributors to these boards. Seems your only contribution to this community is telling people to not use aftermarket ribs or cables and tattling on people asking for CPS. Do you have anything useful to contribute, like AT ALL?

OP, read this thread. Easy to get around Commercial Series passwords. http://batboard.batlabs.com/viewtopic.p ... riple+play

Assuming that your CP200 has older firmware, you can simultaneously update the firmware, codeplug structure, and remove the codeplug password protection by doing a firmware upgrade...I think the newest version is R03.07.01. I recently had to blow new firmware into 4 CP200s that nobody could remember the codeplug password for.

Again, another new person, what's wrong with asking for the password first? If they got it thru legit ways, just ask before you go having somebody try to hack into something and damage it. Why is it wrong anymore to help somebody keep from destroying a good piece of equipment?

Explain how modifying some bits with a hex editor per the instructions provided can damage the radio
